Beshoy, I think it's unfair of you to say that the general public in the SE are all cruel!! I'm not! I could easily say that having experienced no racist behaviour for my whole life in the SE (I'm indian origin) I moved up to ********** for a year and had a few uncomfortable experiences. I'm not going to say that all people in the North are racist though! I've also had the michael taken out of my SE-accent. Anyway, I think we can agree that Imperial-campus students are all stuck-up :D

FindAPhD team, can't you make a separate forum category called "Overseas students looking for PhDs/Masters" and then just let them all go for it. I've seen a couple of times where someone did have a PhD that would be of interest to one of these lazy people.

GBOWR - record attempt hasn't failed! The aim was to get 100 replies before being withdrawn, some posts were withdrawn in the early stages but the thread's still here! Is there already a world record for this? I imagine 100 replies is quite easy to achieve, but then what's going on here? 17 replies in a week?

I don't intend to double my BSc work either - I worked REALLY hard and got a first, but also got v. stressed and I'm not entirely sure it was worth it.

Hello there!, I have a PhD interview coming up preety soon!, and I have a basic (maybe silly) question.

a. what would they expect out of of me? I mean alot of academic questions in conjunction with proposed studies?(rocket science??) Or,
b. Is it like what have i done in the past etc...job experiences n stuff. (like a job interview)

I am a Mass Communication student in India. I want to do MA Creative Advertising. though I will get admission in napier or anyother univ,I will have a big time problem getting a loan for this course. Cas bankers here are so rigid that they have no idea how big advertising is.
So I want to apply for a Journalism course and then change it.is that easy to do in uk univs? and does any one know anyother reputed universities which offer creative advertising?

South kensington students are arrogant. I did my undergrad in Yorkshire and it was perfect, masters in Scotland was great, but the South East sucks. The general public are cruel (I get corrected by folk in supermarkets when I ask for scones instead of scoooooones they`re also horrid to my scottish girlfriend - they mock her accent). Agreed, even the food is different (I had to drive 15 miles last week to find a chippie).

However, love my research and I enjoy my campus out in the sticks.

You need a post-graduate medical diploma like a MRCP or MRCS before doing a post-graduate degree.
