Last night I came across the site www.readitswapit.co.uk and thought what a good idea! For those of you that havent heard of it, it's a way of swapping read/unwanted books for ones that you do want.

Being a big reader and having hundreds of books, I decided to go for and registered. However I'd registered about 5 of my books when someone asked to swap with me. Last night ended with 4 swaps and 2 declines. I posted the books this morning but then logged it to find another 3....

....argh....I'm now gonna spend the rest of my life swapping books and then reading then and then reswapping them. My PhD is gonna go down the pan :'(

Well if you already know people in Manchester then it might be nice to have your own place. No sharing kitchens bathrooms etc etc its great

Waterbaby, when I did my MSc, I stayed in a private halls of residence which has specific blocks for postgrads. I shared the kitchen living area with 3 other people and had my own ensuite.

I loved it, it was the first time I was in such close contact with international students, not all of them want to stay away from people not of their own kind. In fact I made some really good friends and had a great time.

Have been writing it up as I go along, so its a case of tidying up, adding bits I've missed and writing up the most recent work I have done. I want to get a draft out by the end of this month.

Do you guys have to get it bound?
