What you should do to start with is some research on which topics interest you and which unis you are interested in.

Oh I've just looked at the course and its over 6K fees per year.

I think you are quite mad to do a 2 year Masters course, you might as well make that 3 and find a funded PhD instead.

Are you an international student? That could explain the 13K fees.

You have to email the admin if you want to report posts. However they do monitor us closely so if the see anything inappropriate, we get told off pretty quick.

No I wasn't complaining about the UK councils funding international students, I was basically complaining about wuyeh saying that even though the money comes from the UK people, it should be shared equally between all the people of the world. Is that fair?

shanghaichica I'm not saying I don't think the UK should be funding for international students at all. I think its a good thing and I love having people from all over in my research group. In my department there are lots of funded PhD international students and it makes me think the balance is fine. This is still a UK university and you would expect more UK students than any others, no?

I don't agree with wuyeh who thinks he/she should get funding just because he/she comes from Africa. There are lots of African students who get funding, wuyeh is unlucky they haven't.

So we should now address the balance of how many international funded students just because wuyeh hasn't got funding?

I'm not trying to flame you, I was trying to help you and I found YOU to be quite rude.

I understood that there was no funding for your course. So I asked you a few questions which you ignored completely and said "My point is mine doesn't." How do you expect people do help you and give you advice without knowing more of the situation.

wuyeh, unless you don't understand what I have written, I have stated why most of the funding in the UK goes to UK students (home) or EU students rather than international students like yourself.

No one has a right to funding, it's a privilege. Yes you are unlucky that you haven't found funding yet but so are many other UK/EU students.
