MSc in University of Sheffield

hmmmm

anyway, Sheffield is a lovely place, friendly people and one of the safest cities in the UK.

There's PLENTY of greeks at the university, to be honest, can't get away from them They make a lot of noise in halls (postgrad)!

Economics is good, my cousin did it a few years back and he has a good job now so that's my reasoning. Best to check out the RAE rating for the department though.

Will you call youself Dr?
H

I feel like slitting my wrists after reading badhaircuts posts.

I shall be in a state of total depression now until I finish my Phd. In fact why even bother to do a PhD, I should just jump off the nearest tall building.

looking for a second masters at LSE

I meant competitive but if you are planning on paying the fees yourself then probably easier. If you already knew that your friend got into the course with lower grades and a scholarship, why do you bother to ask us?

You should find out how much the scholarship is first.

As an overseas student, you will find it very competitive for this particular course and you need to make sure your grades are as high as possible. However do you really think it is worth doing another masters that will cost £13,000 fees which is 11 lakhs (Rupees) plus another £8,000 to live in London.

Et al. and referencing
H

Oh and if I am talking about only one reference for say a whole paragraphy, then I wont bother to keep referencing, I think it makes sense which reference you are talking about.

Et al. and referencing

1) I've only ever had to use commas, never a fullstop, so no idea.

2) I often use "Brown et al. (2006) used method1 blah blah" in my work. It makes more sense to do that if you are looking at two different papers together.
