hilarious wobble stick
I

my friend suggested going to a new exercise class tomorrow night, and it's something i haven't seen before. basically we all get this really long, flexible rod with ends (a bit like a skinny one of those things they used to use on 'Gladiator' to knock each other off the podiums) and we have to vibrate it 'to work our core muscles'!!

Can you picture a whole bunch of women wobbling their bingo-wings for 45 minutes? I think i just put myself off going...

"Her work is very poor in my opinion, she has experiences not findings!"

Obviously, i don't know who you're refering to, but i have come across this attitude before - basically from science purists who can't/don't buy into qualitative research. is this author's work qualitative? The further i go, the more i have come around to qualitative research and now always try to use mixed methods - the professor's remarks, on the other hand, may have been rude, but making you think (and justify) has probably been useful.

Sorry if i have got it all wrong, btw!

no, i hadn't heard that one.

i once knew a woman (best-friend's space-age/spaced-out/past-life-regressive-healer-type step-mother) who was convinced that aliens were living among us. she got really worked up when i questioned her on this...

No no no! That's not going to help my self-discipline... (currently writing about 'policy' issues - needs must - can barely breathe with the boredom of it all. I keep trying to stay focused )

I completely agree with sylvester (he's such a star) - come and chat 'off topic', although you might find (as I have) that you 'daily dose of sanity' becomes a daily dose of distraction .
