no stu I don't dislike you that much. Some things I do agree with you on but other times I think you talk rubbish. I like that your not afraid to say what u think even if it gets other ppls backs up e.g. mine. I can't stand fence sitters

it is snowing here now! I hate hot weather.

It snowed here yesterday but I was in uni and by the time I had finished it had all melted. :( What was more annoying is that right outside my office window people where having snowball fights and building snow men. Did anyone else miss the snow? or am I the only one?

I agree with stu (which makes a change). Tell her to write it herself. Explain you feel uncomfortable about writing it. Besides people quite often don't see their own good points and/or flaws.

I don't think they are done for fun. I think sometimes scientists lose site of the fact that the animals are living beings that feel pain and therefore they don't look for alternatives, they stick with the same methods. They become desensitised and thats dangerous. As soon as you stop seeing that the animal does suffer then you no longer think of other ways to do things.

I work alongside people that have done animal testing and I still respect them as people. I just don't agree with what they do/have done.

i so agree. It feels like im wasting time that I could be working in. what about journal clubs? Does anyone else have to attend them? I do.

lab meeting boring or useful? discuss

yeah im here 9 till 5 only. I'm doing cell culture so it takes a few hours at the most for me to do that. I'm waiting to start some other work but I can't do that till the 15th march!

Does anyone else feel like they are progressing really slowly? i have been here 5 months now and I am still not properly into the lab work. I feel like I will never relly get started and I will be stuck reading forever. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I am not narrow minded just because I have a moral belief that i stick too. My parents taught me to respect all life and thats what I do. Oh and animals aren't part of my food chain thanks. I am not an extremist. DanB from some of stu's posts it seems to me that he is the one that has no respect for humans.

Its not because people 'like animals'. Its because some people know the difference between right and wrong. Which you stu and jo clearly do not. You both make me sick.
