that was erik ringmar! as i recall he didnt say that undergrads should look elsewhere because they would be taught by phds he said something along the lines of that the student experience at LSE may not be better than at a less prestigious uni like London Met. i remember reading the transcript of his open day talk and thought it was pretty honest. he has a blog something, google it.

you're a phd and they are undergrads therefore you are always correct even if you are actually wrong ;) :D

i've been selling old books on amazon marketplace. i've made over £100 and since these are cheap books (each sale is only a few pounds) you can imagine i've been spending a lot of time at the post office recently!

Lancaster has a really large statistics group and is home to some really talented statisticians. Within the Bayesian Statistics community in particular, the statistics group is very well known. You could learn a lot there.
