Do you hate Seminars/Talks/Lectures?

I am "voluntarily" going to a lecture this afternoon. Normally I hate anything which involves me sitting for an hour and hearing someone talk but the new Head of Biochemistry is giving his inaugral lecture so I thought I would go along for some fun.

Does anyone else hate listening to people talk for an hour as much as I do?

how do i go about doing this???

hi stu, i don't actually want to take on the product development and start a business myself. i just want to learn about the market and industries relevant to me, get the contacts, so then when i go to academia i know what sort of things people want and who to talk to.

i don't think i am up to or want to run my own business. however i like to do very applications driven research which if directed properly will hopefully have some commercial value to the right people. and hopefully they will then buy those ideas off me ;)
