I think I've decided to have one 'big' MM chapter - I say big, but in reality many of the techniques are more or less the same. I have 3 results chapters, and will order the MM in order of the techniques used in each and if I have something in results chapter 3 that is similar to chapter 1, I think I'll say something like, X was conducted as described (refer to earlier thingy), modified by the omission/addition..... etc.
Juno - yes, she is down right nasty, malicious and spiteful, and there have been many an occasion when she has thrown my "mental illness" back at me in public. And the irony is that it has been her who has caused most of my problems.
But I've found it in myself to laugh at her - she is an ignorant, bigoted fool and my 'revenge' will be that I WILL pass and then I'll stick 2 fingers up at her ( and not necessarily metaphorically!).
In a lab meeting... "I knew taking you on was a mistake, what with your history of mental problems....you won't pass, I only took you because of the reputation of your undergraduate supervisors..."
(mental problems actually means depression...and c'mon, who doesn't get depressed when doing a PhD??!!)
And then when she was drunk at a Christmas dinner...."You are the most inspirational young female scientist and you remind me of myself at your age, except I was better".
And on my first day..."I'm sorry, who are you?"
And then a few moments later..."Oh yes, I had forgotten. You have braces. My mother was an oral surgeon. Open your mouth so I can see". (and i did, my mouth was open anyway at the fact she didn't know who I was!!!!).
Hi guys,
I'm just wondering how you scientists organised your materials and methods? I was thinking of doing it by technqiues used in each chapter but some are common to more than one and so it could potentially get very repetitive...how did you/will you do yours?
