I just got into the office (bit of a late start today :$) and I'm hoping for a productive day!

First goal: have a look at first section of this chapter and do any revisions necessary. I'm hoping to email it to my supervisors later today, ideally with an outline for the rest of the chapter.

I have finished the first part of this section and instead of cutting words out (which I need to do) I have been adding words. More than 1000. Oh dear. Next goal: second part of this section. (without adding too many words!!!)

Good morning, everybody. :-) (robin) I have already started with my first goal of the day: the first part of the third section of chapter 2. I don't have much time today though, so I don't think I'm going to get much done...

First goal compelete - I've successfully cut down the wordcount to below 4000. No doubt I'll have to cut even more words later on.

So, I now have about 1500 words to spare. Since there seems to be quite a high demand for words today, I thought I'd sell them to the highest bidder. All offers considered. :-) (I know, I know. I said I wouldn't charge for them, but in this economic climate one has to take every opportunity.)

I've cut about 300 words so far, but don't panic, there are plenty more! I reckon in total I need to cut another 3000 from the first chapter. :$

You most certainly can have my 500 words, I won't even charge you for them. :-) Would you like them randomly chosen or as whole paragraphs? Or I could systematically take every 5th word out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one working. :-) I'm feeling pretty shattered too, might have to have a nap later ...

I have, against all expectations, already finished the section I was working on! :-) Now on to the next section, which involves cutting down the word count by about two thirds. Ugh.

Sounds good! (up) It's great when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :-) (In my case, I'm beginning to wonder if it's the light of an oncoming train...)

I submitted the abstract for the conference poster last night. :-) I'm not feeling very confident about it though. :-(
