Before he could do or say anything, a messenger arrived with an urgent telegram (do they still do telegrams?). Irritated by the interruption he opened it. It was from the new government. Due to the spending cuts he was being made redundant and replaced by ... a rabbit. All the rabbit wanted in payment was limitless cabbage, and there was certainly enough of that around.

Yay, I've managed to get it all done. Didn't get much further with that poster though. :-(

I have finished re-writing the whole section and have done the references. I need to go over it again and then email it to my supervisors.

Oh yes, dogs can be very expensive... Ours needed three operations (with general anaesthetic) during the first year we had her (old, rescued dog with lots of 'issues'). (robin) would be cheaper!

Finished part 1, now on to part 4. :-)

I'm struggling with motivation at the moment - I hope joining in with this thread will help! I have got a supervision meeting next week and want (need!) to submit something for that today. It's very much a rough draft at the moment and needs a lot of 'tidying up'. I'm splitting it into 4 parts, so my first goal is to re-write part 1! I also need to put some ideas down for a poster - I've got a major block with this at the moment, I'm not quite sure how to approach it. I seem to completely lack confidence in what I have done so far, even though my supervisors really liked what I've written up to now and suggestested I put together a poster. It just doesn't feel good enough for a conference. Argh. Anyway, I'd better get on with the re-writing ...

So the first goal for today: re-write part 1. (robin)

We've got some chicks who are just over a week old. Very cute. :-) You can have all the ones who turn out to be cockerels - their crowing would wake up anybody who falls asleep at their computer. (Or is it just me who falls asleep at the computer? :$)

I have seen it described as 'lay publications' - would that be ok?
