It could look weird if you are doing this in the middle of the class, but you can pass on this exercise to your phD friends too and then actually see if it helps. I do it on paper and i end up feeling more focused as my mind closes to other thoughts and i get engrossed in this. So when all the distraction doors are shut for a while, you can concentrate better.

It is important that your concentration levels are high while studying. There is a famoouse figure of 8 concentration exercise. It is very simple. Whenever you feel you are losing concentration while studying start drawing the figure of 8 in the air (or a blackboard if you have one) with your right hand, then the left hand and then both the hands. Continue making the figure smaller and smaller till you make them really small. This exercise can be done by closing your eyes and imagining that you are drawing the figure of 8. This exercise helps to activate both the right and left visual fields and hence makes the brain more focused.

Firstly keep your cell phones and laptops away while studying. Make a note of what topics need to be covered today and check at the end of the day what is done. Make a study time table and follow the routine. Do not eat heavy meals before studying Do not listen to music or watch tv while studying. If writing and studying helps you remember better then please write as much as possible. See what works best for you and apply that in your study regime. Solve lot of question papers and time yourself for the same. ALL THE BEST!

I realize this statement may shock some of you, but it is my opinion that today companies look for people who have a specialized know-how, skill-set, knowledge-base, and proficiency that can help them run their businesses better. Just consider the continuation of companies’ outsourcing specific jobs to professional groups who have specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Buying expertise (outsourcing) contrasted to building expertise (investing in the workforce) hasn’t always been common. There was a time when companies hired and trained their workforce to complete all job tasks, but something happened along the way to change all of that. And that change in attitude and action is now standard among most companies … it is widespread.

The stress involved in lying is too much. As rightly mentioned by someone, that if you lie you always have to remember what you lied about, and that is such a headache. Everyone has weakness and it is perfectly fine to mention it in an Interview. Even your interviewer is not perfect. So be honest and sincere, it will give a good impression about you.

There are a lot of Do’s and Don’ts for an interview. I believe in a few Do’s which have worked for me. Always be well groomed for an interview. Do a bit of homework about the company and your job profile. Do feel free to ask relevant questions at the end of the Interview, and clear any doubts that are there in your mind. And the biggest don’t is DO NOT LIE! Please do not lie about anything in an interview. A lot of people lie and try to paint a good picture of them, but it all works against them in the long run.

Distance Learning MBA is catching up these days among MBA enthusiasts. Lot of people who want to pursue MBA are working and do not have time to attend college. Do they opt for Distance learning programs which give them flexible hours to study and attend online tutorials while simultaneously working. This saves them a lot of time and money. The curriculum is as good as a regular MBA program. You can study at your desired hours and days.
