...or to focus on PhD?

Thanks Ann. Are there any journals which particularly focus on literature reviews? I've presented at a conference before yet I'm a complete beginner concerning publications. I'll try to write it in the specific style of a selected journal.

Anybody any experiences, good or bad? How many times did you have to revise before they finally accepted? What would you consider more important, to do loads of conference papers or to focus on publications (during PhD)?

sorry, don't mean to say that I just want a publication because of the factors stated above. I just feel that I'm ready to publish..once the paper is rejected I may think differently, though.

Anybody published a literature review or survey? Originally I wanted to wait with publications for completion of PhD but I just decided that I want my name to be associated with a publication earlier (also to facilitate the Viva Voce). As I have no data anaylsis I was wondering about a literature review.

Anybody experience with that/advice/suggestions or thinks this is a bad idea?

I see your point, but apart from all the things I said above, I'm not sure if KM is relevant enough to be described as a phenomenon. If we are talking about "Zeitgeist", then I could think of more impressive figures from the showbiz.

Really? How about Germans during the 3rd Reich, then? They loved him in 1936..so much to the judgment of audiences.

Okay, if you are right and the public/masses care about this KM "phenomenon", then this might be yet another indicator of the demise of this society. A society which confuses politeness with ignorance.

And a society which doesn't give a damn about the important issues in the world.

sorry but who gives a damn about K.M.'s hotpants? Museums should not do this crap. They should show important things, like paintings by VanGogh or pharao's combs. KM is not a historically important person. her name will be forgotten in 30 years or earlier. She is not comparable to Andy Warhol. She has no brain and is a former soap opera star/singer. Nobody of a worldwide relevance.

There should be an exhibit in V&A about the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. Then Tony Blair should invite high profile politicians from Brazil. But he'll probably be too busy to visit KM's hotpants..
