I am an aspiring phd student and after funding like any other student. It makes it mor etough for me because I am an international student and could anyone suggest me of any countries where funding is available in plenty for intl students. I am in the UK right now and would reloacte anywhere which has my subject and also has funding.. I know some european countries do offer free tutions for PhD, but it would still be an expensive business living away from home.
thanks
hey dan and stu,
thanks for your replies... I reckon both of you are from UK/EU, but I am an international student here and I am sure you guys know how hard it is find funding for a student like me. What do u suggest considering this factor. Also am I late if I start now. Well I have already done; however I havent started shooting the standard mail :) to unis.
Thanks
Hey all,
This may sound a bit odd; however I have to ask. I am a phd aspirant and does not belong to UK/EU and have been following the threads in this forum earlier. Owing to the fact that applications do get binned in the UK, how many unis do u reckon should I apply to secure a phd entry. I completely understand that it depends on my field of study and the supervisor availability.. which I have to say is sparse!! I have to secure an entry in any uni in any part of the world where funding is available. Pls help. I have got the idea and firm mind to work on it, but I do want help both with supervising and funding. Can anyone suggest me of anything?
thanks in advance
