suddenly I've become confused about one-tailed and two-tailed.
can someone please explain to me what is meant by one-tailed t test
it is because of the response from the research question, yes or no
and then if it is a two-tailed test, its yes, no and maybe.

hi sneaks Im so glad you replied!
I dont want to push her; and she doesn't seem like wanting to go out or do anything else
she also doesn't want to say anything except ok we can ask the forum
I also haven't seen the clots; I was told that the nurse checks the bed-pan (during the treatment)
I found a bpas website and read off some information there;but I thought it would make a difference if someone had been through it and could explain it to us
I'll tell her to call the nurse if she still feels unwell; to be very frank I dont know if there is anything else I can do; only do the housework so she does not have to lift anything and make her hot drinks (if I make tea, I make one for her).

hi everyone
I have a friend who had this treatment 2 weeks ago, we thought it is a good idea to ask it here since we are mostly anonymous. I am just concerned:

1 how long will the bleeding last, she is still having clots
2 when will the abdominal pain go away
3 there is no fever but she seems sickly all the time, I am wondering if it is caused by the mifepristone
4 will she need counselling

hi there I'm glad you've acknowledged your anger and are going to get help for it.
please do see someone (counsellor, gp, chaplain, friend etc)
I emailed the university psychologist when I was feeling really down, but he was not around at that time, and somehow when he finally came back and replied my email, I was already feeling better and felt that I did not need the appointment.

Nevertheless I went ahead with the appointment with him and it turned out to be helpful (even though I was not feeling depressed at that time).

I also went to see a therapist about anxiety, and this is something that we do not do in our culture; it can be a very closed asian culture where we do not speak to people about our issues etc. so I was not used to this; paying someone to listen to my complains.
In many ways it was very difficult for me to open up to someone I didn't know (and still have to pay her for it! HAHA)
but I found that I felt happier and lighter after the session; and she (the therapist) did serve a purpose to help me (though I was then £30 poorer).

I am 2nd year phd; we do drafts by chapter.
Meet every 2 weeks or weekly (depends on supervisor).
but usually the comments come by email so its really quick
and then the headache is when I need to do revision etc :-)
