Hi everyone, please can someone give me some advice on a good reference(s) for a sociology/psychology paper that writes about the subject of "familiarity leads to more liking", for example if we like something, the more we do it, the more we like it.

I don't have sociology/psychology background, if someone can give the name of a term or reference or something, anything so I can look it up.

I'm not a history/medieval time/dinosaur person although I am fond of them...

if I could travel back in time, I would go back to the time when I was happiest--12 years old.
Then I will live my teenage life differently...and stil get to be me :-) :-) :-)

hi anand, I didn't realize that you were an Indian national, I thought you were from the USA and going back after doing phd in India. India is a great place for education. I have some friends who study medicine there. My high school chemistry and biology teachers also came from India. I think there should be lots of options for you in the USA :-) There should be something for you, whether you have to have the phd degree at hand or not. First of all, double-check with the US visa center your eligibility to work on a dependent visa; and start looking at the advertisements! I'm sure you'll find something. Remember to get the letter from your indian university to say you've submitted :-) Also if you have your old registration form that says you were admitted for phd from say 2007 to 2010.. make a copy and get a notary to sign on it. Bring it with you.

perhaps you may request for a letter from your indian university saying you have submitted. Your study visa will also confirm that you were there. The best place to ask would be your university; start with your supervisor :-)

Nice question :-) I don't find it difficult to make friends; only difficult to find the RIGHT people I can click with. I've been in the UK almost 3 years now; I only found a friend I could hang out with (and laugh and do girl things together) after TWO YEARS. Being friends with lads are so-so; I find it difficult because theres always a dating factor there and I cannot date anymore :-)

The friends I have here: can't be too close with the lads, and lasses are always busy (boyfriend/family/own things to do). So I have learnt to be happy by myself :-) I see my friends when I'm at uni and that is enough for me. Weekends I am always alone, holidays too, now I'm used to it.

I went to a small convent school and then went to a public (co-ed) school after GCSEs; it was ok.
Things were very "controlled" in the convent; I think the whole lot of us were really well-behaved; but back then we never talked back to our teachers, we were just like robots. The next school was more fun; with the boys in class there was never a dull moment. But I had more happy memories from my convent days. I dont think both schools had affected my chances in life in any bad way; but then again I also can't say if it had affected my chances in life in a good way.
