mine looked scared of me crying think it made them see how upset i was about things

i struggled with mine for months. finally i burst into floods of tears and told him how i felt, it did help for a while. you should try and sit down and discuss things with them or maybe your adviser?

he does it with everyone thought so i try not to take it personally! i figure i must have an Ok grip on english to have got this far surely!

mine usually rewrites the whole thing and tells me what rubbish i have written and i feel soooo small..!

i have to come in and tend to my cells! bah.

im sure the novelty will wear off if i get it but i will enjoy the moment while it lasts.

so does the title not mean anything to you personally?

the day i get my PhD i shall cry i will be so happy.

of course i love the subject and cant imagine doing anything else. and if you think wanting to see my title Dr makes me shallow then fine just for me getting that title will be an achievement and something i never though i would get a few years ago.

ok i think that is a little excessive i wouldnt insist on being called Dr whatever when speaking to people etc just i feel after a lot of years studying i will be proud of my title.

i wouldnt do it to get other people to notice its for me because then when i see it i will be reminded of the reason for all this hard work and stress.

i plan to have all my credit cards etc changes so Dr is there.. too much hard work not too i will be proud of my title!!!! ive evn told my boyf when im a Mrs my cards are going to still say Dr...!

i know its crazy.. clearly they ned to top up their entertainment.. sorry 'expenses' budgets some way

if you really cant see a way around sorting things with your supervisor is there no way you could explain this to potential future supervisors in a way that sounds positive i.e you have learned from this experience etc..
