i will be going because our uni didnt do hats for graduation for my first degree but the one im at now does.. and want the nice hat photo!

i usually look like a walking advert for Oasis as they do such nice smartish clothes!

i tend to go for black trousers and jumper/shirt type things with like flat shoes.. so not all dressed up in heels and suit. i wouldnt recommend jeans just in case you need to netowkr with top profs etc.

im taking my boyf to meet my family.. whole family.. will probably be more stressful than doing phd work..!

i always come out of meetings feeling like the most stupid person in the world.. think they often phrase questions in a certain way instead of just asking what it is they want.

dont panic!! i usually dress smart casual .. think people in suits look a bit formal and scary. as long as you know your subject area it should be fine although ive never had many in depth conversations about my work so much so i felt out of my depth. i always feel an idiot talking to professors etc so try stay calm!

sorry for a random post but does anyone know how to get scatterplots with different scales on each side on excel? so i can plot two variables on one chart?

i felt the same but once you get into your project and if you love the challenge it will be fine congrats

are they results entirely from phd or ongoing from an undergrad project? know some people that manage to publish that fast but sadly the rest of were not that lucky in our projects that we found results within a couple of months

have you an advisor or similar you can speak with?

as ann says if its there then you dont have to worry about it they sort it out once you have applied- you only have to worry where there may be more projects than funding in which case they may offer if you self fund- but they would tell you that. good luck in applying!
