It sounds like you want uni 2 - but is that offer still on the table? If they had funding to offer you a PhD it could well have gone to someone else by now.

I had to do 4 modules in my 1st year - exams/cousework as well. BUT I wrote them an email, copied my supervisor in (who had agreed) saying that I was exempt from every module because of past experience. THey too wanted me to do a research methods 'basic SPSS' course and at the time I was teaching the same thing on a different masters! They made me do 1 module in the end, and waved the other three. I would definitely try this! I also said that of course I will be attending the lectures that will help my PhD - but not having to stress out about exams etc.

I'm very impatient. I was told last week that I didn't get a job, but I'm the reserve and they would tell me if the other person accepted the offer - I've heard nothing. hubby says they just won't tell me, but its making me VERY ANGRY :-s I'd also like to know how many people they interviewed as being 2/2 is rubbish but being 2/20 would be a good achievement. boooooo

oh FFS! My whole entire PhD relies on one 'fact' e.g. people get fat eating chocolate.

My latest analysis shows NO correlation e.g. no relationship between fat people and chocolate!!

I'm now going to have to say that my sample is pretty poor because the fat people just aren't eating any blimmin chocolate :-s :-s:-s:-s

dont think so, I think you just go to the 'reference type' and put in the website - you only have to put in a few details i.e. url, date last updated, date accessed, any authors if its an article and that's it

to be fair, the carrots were grated in and softened until they were essentially carrot sauce.

I'm sure you'll be fine Wal, you probably just got a PC who had had a very dull shift and thought he'd take it out on someone who was clearly more intelligent (and therefore made him feel inadequate as a man) and also had 5 stars - they only have 2 or 3 on their lapels don't they, or am I thinking of McDonalds staff?

Anyway, an acquaintance of mine got pulled over with no licence, no insurance, no tax and there was a record saying the car had been involved in a 'fill and run' at a petrol station. And the acquaintances record said he'd been chasing some dragons (nice! - when he was about to stay in my house for 2 weeks - he then stole most of our property to pay for the dragon chasing).

He got his car impounded, and was allowed to walk away!

one way of making sure they never sleep there is to worm them while on the stairs - i.e. put a worming tablet down their throat.

You could also buy or make a little bed for them - mine tend to sleep on clothes that have missed the washing basket, which are all over the landing :$
