ok - so now I'm really stressing. I did some data anlysis and sent it to sup yesterday. A load of things were significant. NOW it turns out that a few of my participants scores were copied and pasted into the wrong column which has changed all the results - still some are significant, but not as many. So now going to have to own up to supervisor and feel like a complete pratt.

Plus I'm worried that I have missed another data entry error and will end up having to own up to something again in a few days time :$ :$:$:$:$:$:$

I'd say get on with admendments and then start piling up all those journal articles for the ceremonial bonfire! (or recycling if you want to cut carbon emissions).

I always primary reference - as if anyone will know! unless its an article that was printed 100 years ago or something and is out of print.

I find I cannot drink coffee before 12, otherwise I'm zinging around my office not being able to concentrate. I also avoid stodgy lunches, because I go all sleepy afterwards. I always make sure I take about an hour for lunch - 30 mins to walk the dog and 30 mins to sit and eat away from my pc.

I wish I could nap, I just can't - I'd just lie there awake for hours.

no haven't got it Wal - but I'm doing the stats on my study 2 at the mo. I will be getting onto the questionnaire one very soon though, so will have a read through the ones you've sent over and then bug you if I need it!

I thought the stats on my second one would be easy, but they don't seem to be :-(

If you work part time, you will defnitely be working weekends. I work 7 days a week on my PhD so would find it hard to balance part time work. However, if it was necessary for cash, or if it was a fantastic job for experience then I'm sure I would manage. You will have to be VERY organised though.

My PhD hasn't really had much structure. My sup threw me in at the deepend in the first year and didn't meet with me for about 6 months. Then I did data collection, had very little meetings and now I am writing up - I am having about 1 meeting every month now. But it all varies, some people have meetings once a week and have a very prescribed timetable of what needs to get done. It also depends on whether your PhD is applied - I've had a load of setbacks trying to get participants for example.

wow, jinkim is probably in her viva still! I get a nervous feeling just reading threads like this, I don't want to know how I'm going to feel for my actual viva.
