oh dear, well I've just spent the last hour ordering my weekly shop from ocado. I thought it would be quicker than going out to the shops, and I had a £15 off voucher code, but its taken me AGES because I have to imagine walking around the supermarket so I don't miss anything!

I've got to put a presentation together for my yearly review. i usually use my uni's slide template, but as its at uni, and we all know where we go to uni - anyone got a good template recommendation. I prefer black font on white background. i.e. no blue backgrounds etc.

Still haven't done any work though - feeling sluggish.

I've spent all morning finishing off the non-phd work for sup. Its quite exciting as is extremely confidential and very relevant to current events. But it now has been entirely deleted from my system to keep all the data secure.

I now am quite sleepy because I've just had a cup of tea and 2 iced buns :$ I would like to sit on the sofa under my duvet and watchi Glee on sky+ but alas I have a deadline so...

true cakeman - my ref count is only that high because the area I'm looking at is also covered by sociology AND management AND a load of other areas.

I don't think I'll be using all the refs - hopefully not anyway! There seems to be a problem with my endnote at the mo though, I've swapped computers, copied the library, but now the links to the pdfs don't work :-(

well I won't get my final goal finished - sup wants me to do another thing for a non-PhD project, but as there may be publication possibilities I'm going to sit and do it tonight.

I think this has been resurrected from the past hasn't it - I think zweena must have a 2 and a half year old now and has probably finished her PhD and kicked her sup to the curb!

ah its ok, I realised that its only if you start the variable name with the number, if you have a number after a letter then its ok. E.g. Year_1987 is fine!(up)

Does anyone know how to put numbers in variable names I need to have a few variables that are years e.g. 2010, 1987 etc etc but it won't let me :-s

You'll be fine! your presentation will be over in minutes and then its free (ish) food and wine! If you are like me you will be extrememly bored by the subject area and the cheesy networking and having to feign interest in your PhD, but maybe that's just me!
