wow well done algaequeen. I got an email from my sup about my methods chapter, which basically said apparently I have different epistemological (sp!?) stances for each study! News to me!

I've just had lunch, walked dog and spent £20 on online lottery instant cards :$ so back to work for me!

ok, I'm half way through the 3rd one of today, so going to stop have lunch, walk dog and then get back to it by 2pm (hopefully!)

I would refer to it in the text of the thesis so it is clear if it were me.

mornin' all.

I've worked out that to get all 40 analyses done I need to do 4 a day for 6 days. So that's my plan today. I also need to read through the paper my sup sent back to me, AND I really would like to start on my methods chapter AND write a CV! But I feel I am falling into my old ways of too many goals, so I'm going to br br br break it down (scratches record)

Goal 1: 2 analyses before lunchtime

I might do a 'trash the thesis' photo shoot like trash the dress - if you haven't been married recently, this is a photoshoot AFTER the wedding, where you wear your dress and 'trash' it i.e. run around in the sea, run around in corn fields, sit on trees, go dog walking etc etc all in your dress.

I do think he's a bit generationalist (if that could ever be a word!) in that he expects us (the younguns) to know certain stuff that happened in HIS generation, but ask him a question about facebook functions or snow patrol and he would be at a complete loss.

my mum! In my department its common to proof read chapters for each other, although you have to be careful you don't give it to anyone who would demand their name on a publication for doing so!
