stereotypically, if its a she, she may well be at home with kids on their easter break and maybe didn't understand what 'out of office' was on their email. I would still go through the admin route, they often know a lot more than academic staff - its where I always go for departmental gossip in my coffee break!

some sups are just like this. I've been sat next to mine in her office and she says "oh I'll just find the work you sent me" - 20 mins later, she FINALLY tracks it down in the trash bin of her email - unread!

There will be an admin person in charge of PhD admissions in that department. Phone someone, anyone in the department and ask them to put you through or give you the extension number to this PhD admin person. Then at least you can phone them and THEY can bug the supervisor - or let you know if a decision has already been made.

Never reached 12 Wal, 8 was my best. I can't seem to sit for that long. Maybe I have ADHD or something. Although at the mo I'm using number of sentences coded as a mytomatoes substitute. Having a break every 10 sentences (they take ages!)

I think you just need to find the right man and all will click into place, or failing that dogs are quite good company and are less maintenance

I think they're referring to contrasts. If you have done post-hocs there is no need to do contrasts as they essentially do the same thing. But if they have told you to do contrasts then you may want to go back and do them.

I HATE miles and huberman, I never got my head around that stupid book. I need clear instructions, not 'you could do this' blah. i use a technique that looks at differences in how people explain things if that helps

In what sense are you wanting to test linear trend?

Well since finishing that 1st interview analysis, I've made my lunch, the post arrived with a new shaving head for my dog clipper, so I shaved my dog which was satisfying (I've left all the shaved fur on the hall carpet for husband to clean :p - its literally about 1 inch thick over the entire carpet, she was VERY fluffy) I have then walked the dog again. I really need to get on with work!

Yay, I've just finished 1/6 - it is the one I did most of the work on yesterday though :$ its SO DULL! I wish I could do it while watching tv, but I tried that yesterday and just stared blankly at house buying/selling shows instead of working.

I might be sneaky and find interviews that are really short so I can get 6 done today! :p

I don't know what's wrong with me, I feel SO sleepy, I have for the last few days, I just sit and stare at my computer. I've tried exercise and coffee but nothing seems to work!
