I can do that - but not entirely sure how - I think I right click, open the pdf in a new window (often after it has already opened in an existing window), then right click on it in the new window and then at that point, the right click menu suddenly says 'save as...'

I agree the pdf thing with chrome is annoying, but for some reason firefox and IE are both v slow on my computer.

I like chrome - it kind of has the same feel as Mario games on the nintendo - all colourful and simply laid out.

However, I always have to have an IE page open too as my university push email won't work as well on chrome - it has this safe mode which is rubbish and doesn't 'ding' when I have a message come iin.

well its my hubby's day off - so the one day I'm not working from home, he will be :-(

yep I definitely have the nagging doubts, I've talked myself out of applying for several jobs because I don't think I'm 'worthy' - but then I see the people who end up getting them and think I could do a much better job! :p

Have you put a list of 'in prep' publications? I have a load on my CV - I reference them as you normally would but put (in prep) and then put the journal name I'm aiming for, it shows you are at least thinking about developing a publication record :-)

I also have a list of 'lay publications' e.g. articles I've written for non-academic publications (ok, so there's only 2 :$ but anyway...)

I also list all the conferences and workshops I've attended/given on my CV

yes its *ahem* probably not wise that I contact the endnote company.

I may have to just buy the most recent version. Hubs is about to submit and needs to do a final endnote check and the last thing we need is his whole document to go haywire.

urgh I'm having a right nightmare with endnote and windows 7 and/or office 2010 - it just goes crazy and loads of error messages pop up :-(

Is there a way of exporting all my data to mendeley and it still understanding where I've cited etc without me having to put it all in again??

ooh thanks - Sage also seem to do handbooks of qualitative research for different subjects (e.g. psychology) and then various disciplines within these. I'm not liking how google books removes the very pages I need to read though :-s

I've had a rubbish day. I need to book in 15 students for 3 group meetings - I have no idea when they are free and my days are limited. I have sent the wrong date twice now out in emails and I look SO disorganized before I've even met them!! :-(

What position does a pragmatist researcher take - are they neutral, pure observers (like positivist) or do they get in there and really work to construct and interpret a story (like constructivists) - this is an important issue for my PhD and I'm confused! again!

haha yes read any of my threads on mixed methods - I think I'm a pragmatist now and I have qualitative interviews, I analyse them qualitatively and quantitatively and I have a quantitative questionnaire.
