There are different rules for public transport use in this kind of weather. Usually (at least where I use it - london) don't talk to anyone, at best they'll think you're weird, at worst they'll talk to you for the entire journey and follow you to your office.

BUT when its snowing and you're delayed feel free to have a good moan about the service to fellow passengers.

I hate buses because whenever i use them I don't know the destination and what it looks like and people are so unfriendly that I end up panicking and getting off 20 stops before the one I need.

And she wants me to find the effect size. Surely its .8 ??

My sup has just asked me to find the effect sizes of the correlations we've found.

I thought the r was the effect size!?

depends on your sup I guess, I think you get leave anyway, so you can do what you want with that, but I tended to take off weeks here and there when I wanted, I never notified anyone. And my sup leaves for the entire summer so doesn't care what I do!

the one I have is from pets at home for about £15. I also had to vaseline her paws and ears though to stop the snow sticking.

Id like to add that I put my dog in a coat to go for a walk this morning. I'm not usually allowed to dress up the dog, cos hubby doesn't like paris-hilton-esque treatment of animals, but she gets balls of ice building up on her fur otherwise. She looked super cute, and functional!

:-( hubby has stolen our dog - he's working from home so she's decided to stay with him in the warm living room while I'm upstairs and as we only have one laptop, I have to be up in the cold on my PC :-(

He tried to get to work today, but southeastern trains are the WORST SERVICE EVER! they weren't running, even though their boards and website were saying they were, but we went to the station twice, once at 6.30 and then again at 7.30 and all trains were cancelled, even though all their info boards and websites were saying they were fine. Stoopid train service! And they've just put the price up 12.8%!

that's what I don't get - he doesn't tend to play car games. He plays things like red dead redemption, unchartered, resident evil assassins creed, mafia etc. Maybe I'll see how much I've got left in my budget - its his bday too mid december and have no money :-(

I think you just have to throw yourself in at the deep end in a way. I find that i have a different accent for presenting lol - its a bit more posh, so I prounouce my Ts e.g. waTer, rather than waaarrrr :-)

I think its just about having a 'professional' persona. As long as you talk slowly and clearly it should be fine. Your uni will probably run staff development courses including how to do presentations, which you can probably get a place on, they are usually really good.
