Supervision meeting done. I also did a bit more on my presentation but feel sick of it for now.

My final goal for the day is to spend until 5.30 working on my methods chapter, or if I can't focus on writing, to do my Powerpoint slides.

I'm glad your interview went well Batfink! I also had to do a lot of transcription and found it was most effective if I did chunks at the end of each day when I'm tired and can't focus on things like writing anyway.

I have now redrafted my presentation. It still needs to be cut down a bit, which I will do after my supervision meeting which starts in 5 minutes!

My goal for today is to redraft and cut down my presentation. I'm going to try and get this done before meeting with my sups at 2.15.

How about working for half a day? then you can relax this afternoon and feel good about making a bit of progress.

I have now redrafted 2 analysis sections and am starting to want to quit to go and watch Eastenders. I'm going to plod on and get one more section done. This will mean that over half of the document will be done (I'm glad to be at the penultimate draft stage so only a few small changes after that!).

Morning. An early start for me so I can get in a decent chunk of work and be done by lunch.

I am getting so sick of this chapter analysis. My goal for the morning is just to keep plodding through redrafting.

I have really low concentration levels today. I have flitted between my analysis and introduction for my chapter and am now fed up of the whole thing. I'm going to move on to my presentation and finish drafting out the analysis bits.

I have now scanned and showered. My goal for today is to get my whole analysis close to the final version. There is one section which I haven't been redrafting as I wanted to leave to the end so my first goal is to tackle that.

Morning all. I didn't mean to get up quite this early but never mind.

My first goal is to scan in a chunk of the inter library loan which is due back today before my OH starts work and needs his laptop.

Wow Ady you skimmed the theses and wrote 1500 words on them in 2 days? That sounds like a lot of work!

I have now drafted out half of my presentation and have ground to a halt. I still have a chapter left to read in an interlibrary loan which is due back tomorrow so I am going to read that and then probably call it a day.

I have now edited one analysis section. I'm getting bored of this chapter now so I am going to move onto my presentation. Shame that the presentation is based on the chapter! I suspect there will be a lot of copying and pasting so I am going to try and get the whole thing drafted out today.

I have now rewritten and am more or less happy with the first half of my introduction. I am now going to go to the gym and when I get back start redraft one analysis section.

An earlier start than usual for me today also as I am going to head out for a mid morning gym session. My first goal is to spend between now and then working on the introductions section of my chapter.

I think it also depends on the nature of the question. If it is something which isn't a big deal and I can get on with things and wait then I'd do that. If its something important which is going to stop me getting on with things then I'd email.

OK so I didn't spend the last hour and a half working on my presentation. Instead I realised I can base some of it on a talk I gave a while back, but didn't have a copy of that with me. I called into the library before heading home. I'm now settling in to spend a couple of hours making a start on it.
