I feel bleh but I have so much to do today.

Goal 1: Phone up University where I did my undergrad to see if they will tell me what my results were for each unit over the phone
Goal 2: Video editing for conference presentation
Goal 3: Attend meeting with research group
Goal 4: Print off some stuff and look over for meeting with careers advisor
Goal 5: Meet with careers advisor
Goal 6: If I have any spare time between all that, work on analysis.

I really do have a short attention span today. I've had enough of my introduction section so now I am moving onto figuring out whether I can do the video editing I need to do for a presentation using the software I have on my computer and then to have a practice of the presentation itself.

My head hurts. But I feel like I have made some progress on my analysis so that is my first goal done. I have a short concentration span today so I am going to switch to working on my introduction section now.

I'm another one who hasn't been well the last few days either.

My first goal is to focus on analysis for as long as I can and to hopefully get a fair bit done. I have a couple of deadlines at the end of the month so I'm really just trying to make slow and steady progress with things each day.

It's quiet today... I feel like my writing capabilities are burned out for today. I'm finding writing my introduction difficult but I'll be sure to make slow and steady progress over the next week or so.

My next goal is to cut down my analysis section.

I am more or less happy with the analysis section I have been working on. I am also sick of this chapter for now. My next goal is to begin to sort out an introduction and methods section for a journal paper.

Algaequeen, I hope you're getting there without too much stress. Think about how great you'll feel tonight when it's done!

Today I'm mainly working on my analysis. My major goal is to get one particular section sorted. I also need to:

1. Phone the bank (I have been putting it off all week).
2. Do a few small bits of teaching prep.
3. Make a few changes to the presentation I'm doing in a couple of weeks and to have a run through.

I had a very positive meeting this morning. I have done a bit of work on my analysis but much of the rest of the day has been taken up with attending a seminar and some teaching prep. I feel like ie's too late in the afternoon to be getting back into my analysis, plus my concentration is dipping.

My final goal is to spend an hour starting to edit and cut a chapter into a journal article.

Oh no Algaequeen! I'd seriously cry if this happened to me. Did you get them all redone?

My goals today are:
1. Work on subsection of analysis.
2. Supervision meeting.
3. Read through comments on my chapter that I'm getting back from sup today, start thinking about addressing them.
4. Work more on ubsection of analysis.

My second goal is done (this involved moving some stuff around and a little bit of editing rather than writing from scratch!).

Now that I have a very rough subsection I'm going to print it out so I have it in front of me and spend the rest of the day editing. I would like to be more or less happy with this section by the end of the day on Friday.

My first goal today is to redraft one piece of analysis.

Your department will calculate this for you and pay you accordingly. E.g. in my department you get paid for half an hour preparation per seminar topic and paid for one hour for each 3 papers you mark. I guess that 'support of learning' is class time.
Your department will also have its own procedures for assessment of the quality of teaching- in my case students just fill out a questionnaire for the whole unit at the end of the semester and they answer questions about each lecturer/demonstrator.

Second goal done. I'm now having a break from the data chapter and will finish the day by spending an hour working on my theoretical background section.

I am breaking my first goal into several smaller goals because to do the whole section properly is going to be quite a lot of work. This afternoon I will read around 'sibling rivalry' and write a small section on this.
