A late start for me today because I got up late :$ I have to start preparing a grant proposal over the next few days and as the grant is for October 2012 and I'm still yet to find something for *this* year I'm finding it a bit depressing.

Anyway. My first goal today is to revisit my least favourite data chapter and make a few changes.

Morning all. My goal for this morning is to finish inserting the references from my literature review into a word document so that I can create my reference list. Dull, but this means I will be finished with the thing soon!

My manuscript is now ready to be sent off, apart from one piece of info which I've sent an email about. My next goal is to do a bit of reading and make some notes in preparation for a meeting tomorrow.

I hope you get your draft back soon Ady! I have now done my first goal. My goal for the rest of the afternoon is to make similar minor changes to the thesis chapter which the paper is based on.

Oooh Sneaks, not long for us both now! Things keep on coming up to distract me though- the latest is a grant application with a deadline next month. I do technically have until the end of September to submit but it would be nice to make it that first week.

I have been terrible the last week and really need to get back into the habit of setting myself goals. I'm doing the final edits for a journal paper which got accepted (yay!) today. My first goals this afternoon are to make sure the transcripts are perfect and to address the minor comments.

Welcome back Button. Snap- I've also not been around or worked since last Wednesday. I went away for a long weekend and I have been ill since Monday. I'm still not quite with it today but I'm aiming to submit on September 1st so need to get on with it!

Morning everyone! I am back at work after a lovely break in Spain watching Primal Scream, Pendulum and the Arctic Monkeys...

I was planning on sitting on the sofa vegging out until Monday but my holiday has been cut short because I have a job interview on Monday. So my first goal is to skim through the comments my sup made on my full draft and then to spend the morning doing interview prep.

Job application 1 submitted. My next goal is to finish and submit job application 2. I have done most of this so I'm hoping it won't take me much longer than an hour or so!

I have now done my first goal which took longer than I hoped. I think I'm going to have to skip the gym this morning to make sure I don't end up rushing. I'm now going to shower then tailor my CV, make a few small changes to the supporting statement and then upload application 1.

I hope everyone had productive afternoons yesterday.

I'm happy because I have just submitted a full draft of my thesis to my supervisor after working so hard all year to make the deadline I set myself. And I am going on holiday on Tuesday!
