writing up - what motivates you to keep going?

Yep, I have that problem. But I'm finding that the trail of references is NOT endless - you get to a point where the papers you're reading are referencing pretty much the same things.
I feel that this HAS to be done - I don't feel happy writing about something until it's totally clear in my head. Sometimes that happens sooner, sometimes later. I guess I just try to read FASTER!

The Christmas tree was supposed to be a body - didn't quite work out though. BTW, the 'hat' is (orlando bloom) without the space...

Proposals, postdocs & honesty

This doesn't help with your problem, but I didn't know a postdoc could be named on a proposal - does this just mean they're asking for funding to pay you or are you more of a co-investigator?
Do you have a say in how the project is carried out? Would you have a say in how the funding is spent? (since you're named)
