i sent it, i sent it!!!! OMG, it is done, my supervisors have the pdf, are printing it out and reading it AT THIS SECOND (well, obviously, my research is ground-breaking, exciting, innovative and TOTALLY fascinating... *grins*)!!!
ok, now i'm off to the library, my last (oral) exam is next thursday and i have no idea about the topic (practically). how to read 3 fat books in 6 days? will be a challenge.
phew... i managed it! went to bed at 9 am after hours of frantic crying though... :-( i will NEVER change computers when using endnote again!!!
in the end it turned out that endnote 7 just isn't compatible with word 2004 (grrrrr), thankfully i also had endnote x with me so i installed that as well. after conversion my library worked, even though word is PAINFULLY slow with endnote x (like, scroll and then wait a few minutes...).
well, I DID IT, the thesis is finished! 135 pages (faints) now i've gotta go to uni and check about printing and binding.
OMG, i'm dying here guys! i had to switch to a different computer (mac) to finish my thesis and now my endnote library won't work - and i have to finish the damn thesis today! i've copied the endnote library file, i've installed endnote 7 (onto word 2004) and i've even managed to get endnote into the tools folder in word (using add-ins) - but the damn endnote commands won't do anything! something is still missing, i just don't know what. endnote 7 is working fine, word is working fine too, i just can't connect the two programs with each other...
does anyone know i've got to do that? i can't face writing all my references by hand, i haven't got the time for this shit, i haven't even started studying for my exam next thursday
:-s:-s:-s
well, doing my MA made me butt-ugly, so i'm sincerely hoping that the PhD is going to bring about a reversal of that situation...!
i'm on a diet, dying my hair, will DEFINITELY use more face masks in the future. bought new glasses and am close(ish) to my goal weight - bought a whole new wardrobe this summer (on sales) in anticipation...!!!
i have to have finished my degree by next week friday - waaaah! i'm still finishing off my last chapter, i've got to take the train tomorrow at 5, has to be ready by then and printed out!!!
tomorrow evening i've gotta start preparing my last exam, that's one week preparation time, i'm so freaked right now :-(
if i don't get my degree by next friday with good results (UCL is conditional, waaah!) then i'm going to DIE.
OMG i hate all these late night shifts.
ok, so i had my last meeting with my supervisor on friday and discussed my results, discussion and conclusion sections one last time. since then i have been changing stuff, reading some last articles and sorting these chapters out! hopefully i will be able to hand my thesis in tomorrow for grading - then i'll have to start studying for my last exam (11th september). 12th i need the thesis to be finished, graded, printed, bound and handed in so i can get some kind of confirmation certificate that i got my degree.
i'm like TOTALLY freaking!!! every day i take longer in finishing the thesis is one day less for preparing my oral exam (on a topic i know practically NOTHING about) - waaaaaaaaahhh!

i've been accepted into UCL for a MRes in the past few months with a conditional offer on my completing my current MA with good results. UCL never asked me for my a-level results. all they wanted was a list of the courses and grades i had gotten from my current uni and some references.
