As for me, well i have nearly finished!!! Just need to make sure the contents page is formatted correctly and then done!!! Mind you won't be happy until it is submitted on Tuesday so not getting too excited yet! Lara, you are right about backing everything up!! I am so paranoid!! What if it all gets lost!! Anyway, i have back ups of the back ups just in case!!!!
Anyway, by later this afternoon fingers crossed will be done. Then printing out and will read over the weekend before printing at work on Monday. Like i said though, i am not getting excited until the end of Tuesday just because i worry too much and don't want to tempt anything going wrong!!
Anyway, the good news is that my boyfriend just called and suprised me by saying he has tomorrow off and that we are going away to Wales for the weekend for a break!!! I will take my thesis to re-read in the evening but i am really suprised!! We haven't had a holiday at all this year so a weekend break because the nightmare of printing etc is well needed!!!!!! Anyway, just to say i won't be able to post again until Monday so i just wanted to wish everyone a good weekend. good luck with all the aims over the weekend and hope you also have great days tomorrow!! I think we have all come so far and should definitely celebrate at the end of it all!!

I think it is just amazing, not only are you doing all these lectures but you also also doing so much writing too!! Hope today is going well and look luck with Chapter 3!!

Lara: What a massive amount of work you have done this week, you should be really proud. I have every faith in you that you will meet your deadline of next week. You are nearly there!!!!!! Rubyw: I don't blame you having a non-PhD day yesterday!! Sometimes it is so good to have a decent break and rest!!!!!! So much of our time is taken up with all the writinf, worrying, writing, panicking etc that a break is needed!!! Definitely helps to clear the mind. Sheena: Don't worry, you are right!! It is only the beginning. Don't be too hard on yourself about yesterday, what you did get done sounds great and there have been so many times i have written down aims and then not completed them!!!!!! Try not too be annoyed and good luck today!!

Like i say, i joined these recruitment agencies and in one i had to do a multiple choice test!! I think to show i have used some of the methods in my CV. Anyway, fingers crossed that soon I will have a few job interviews. I am ok for september and October but really need to be in a job by the end of October so hopefully something will come up. I am not fussy at this stage, just need some money to pay the rent etc!! Anyway will let you know if anything comes up!
Anyway, i am now going to watch the football (can't miss it as it'd a world cup qualifier!!) and then do a couple of hours work. tomorrow i am going to do a mammoth day of writing as fingers crossed (although i don't want to tempt fate!!) I will have my thesis finished by tomorrow evening!! Then I want to spend the weekend reading every chapter again before printing on Monday and submitting on Tuesday!!! This is my plan anyway, although i don't want to tempt fate in case something crops up (nightmares about my sup saying it is rubbish and i have to re-write everything!!)! Anyway, will see how it goes!!

Just watched diagnosis murder and i am really freaked out!!!!!!!!!! It was about ghostly goings on in the hospital basement. I am at home alone and swear i just heard a spooky noise!!!! On the writing front have now got Chapter 7 finished and am doing some changes to chapter 5 before sorting out the rest of chapter 1.

PS Been playing ABBA songs, makes me think of Mamma Mia which i loved! I think it is coming out on DVD around christmas time so definitely one to buy i think!!!

I have just re-read all our messages from the last week and look at how much you have done!!!!! Last week you acheived so much, really fantastic!!! Just keep going, and you will get there. Try not to worry about other people, i think you are right unless you are doing a PhD it is very hard to understand the process and how challenging it all is.

Don't worry about having a moan! I fully understand!! During the weekend just gone a friend of mine phoned and said to me "have you not finished your thesis yet? when will you finish it, what have you been doing all this time!!!" She then asked me to visit her on Sunday (she called Saturday) and she lives half way up the country which would have resulted in me missing a whole day of work what with travelling to see her, then coming back!! Anyway i told her i wouldn't be able to make it only for her to get really grumpy!!! She accused me of not making an effort!!!!!!!!! She then said "how can you have a breal for a few hours to watch football but not come and see me!!!" The cheek of it!!!! I mean i know when i need my breaks but also know i can't take a whole day off at this stage!! Lucky i didn't tell her about my contact lens appointment and lunch on Sunday or i think she would have flipped completely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway don't you worry. I think a lot of the time people (especially parents) think they are being helpful and showing an interest without realising that it gets us stressed!! My parents are the same! I keep getting "are you on target etc etc" then i sometimes snap and my mum doesn't really understand why!!!
Try not to let it get to you (difficult i know) and focus on your work. Remember you are the expert in your thesis and you know what is left to do. Also you will get there and your thesis will be brilliant.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Just a quick post as again i have another bad headache! Think i am getting too stressed!! Anyway i need to pop out to get some more headache tablets. Anyway, good news! I got Chapter 7 back and there isn't that much left to do, i reckon a day at most! I also got my abstract back (only sent it in last night!). I think my sup knows how stressed i am getting!!!! Anyway, i am now able to set a date for my printing!!!!!!! I think if i get the bits i need to tidy up done this week (abstract, chapter 7, finish chapter 1 and check the contents and page numbers etc) i should be able to print out my 6 copies Monday (15th) and take them down to the university Tuesday for soft binding and submission!!!!!!!! I need to work hard this week but am sure if i keep on going i will make this deadline. I think the fact it is nearly done is spurring me on!!!!!! Anyway, hopefully i will make this deadline so fingers crossed!!!!!

PS My aims: Sort out figure 5.3 in chapter 5 (needs to be re-done!)
Sort out the page numbers (Word has somehow started my page numbers ok, but then in one chapter the page numbers read page 114, 115, 116, 30, 31, 32 etc!!! What is going on!!! I think we all need a PhD in Microsoft Word before we get started!!! Oh well, will try to figure that out today.
Also need to go through the rest of chapter 1 as i need to add a few more references and do a bit more reading.
Finally, tonight i want to do some more work on Chapter 7 and this will also take up tomorrow i think!!!!!

Rubyw: Try not to feel anxious about the exhibition. I understand it must be difficult to juggle a couple of things at once but it sounds like you have really done well with your pictures. I think it is a massive acheivement to sum up all your hard work in a few images!!!!! I wonder if it looks a bit difficult at the minute because it is quite late, you have been working so hard and you have had a busy week. Tomorrow it will look clearer and i am sure what you have done will be fantastic so try not too worry.
Lara and armendaf: Hope you have made the progress you wanted this weekend, just think this will soon be over and all your hard work will be worth it.

I haven't done too much today as i went into town, had my sight test and then my boyfriend took me out for lunch and then we had a lovely afternoon shopping. Anyway back now and am going to cook some dinner then get a couple of hours done so the day is not wasted!! Tomorrow though i am going to work extra hard, and also all this week!!!!
