For most things I use Postgraduate Researcher but for getting discounts etc its usuall postgrad or PhD student

I think it looks awful.. it looks extremely tacky to me lol

He might be one of our great artists but I can't say I have liked any of his work.. From an impact point of view his work does usually do that, and perhaps that is all he is interested in. But in my eyes a good piece of art is something you can happily look at everyday and never tire of seeing. Perhaps I am just missing the point as an artless scientist lol

which has all the electronic articles available for that journal and for 1999 they only have the 4th issue of that year. Perhaps if you email them they could send you a copy?

Best thing to do is to search findaphd.com, jobs.ac.uk. newscientistjobs.com for suitable PhD projects.. Or look at university websites for research groups of interest and approach them.

Well I suppose it depends what you want to do.. If you want to go into teaching kids then a PGCE is essential. I would imagine it would be very hard to do a PGCE and a PhD at the same time unless you did a part time PhD and a flexi-PGCE (which takes 2 years rather than 1 year). As for doing one then the other.. I don't think there is a correct order to do them it would boil down to personal preference and which was more important to you.

It's good that you have been given an interview, I don't think you should pass it up on the fact they are questioning your motvies for moving.. If you tell any uni that you are wanting to move uni then they are bound to ask why you want to leave your current PhD.

I have lots to do but have decided to take a few days off and go home.. Time for a bit of a break I think

Don't you just hate the fact that once you think you have finished something completely no matter how many times you recheck it.. when you look over it again once you have handed it in you see typos and grammatical errors .. or maybe thats just me!!

If it doing what i think it is doing what you need to do is go to one of your references and right click anywhere on the reference and click the 'toggle field codes' and that should put it back to how it should be.. If this doesnt work let me know and i will see if i can think of something else
