Its a denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis kit.. basically just a big heated fish tank

I had a £6,000 piece of equipment bought for me.. It is still on one of my benches unused and the glassware still wrapped up.. I have to use it next week so I am a bit scared!!

Well i thought rather than get them to change it to Mr, that it would be easier to simply do a PhD then it would be correct :P

I have 'Dr' on my Sainsburys nectar card.. god knows why.. I got it while still on my undergrad course..

You need to be a tad more specific and you are unlikely to find a PhD opportunity on this forum as the majority of people here are PhD students or potential PhD students like yourself.

Look on the main findaphd.com website or jobs.ac.uk or newscientistjobs.com for actual PhD projects.

Its a networking site.. you join networks for your university etc.

If you google it you will get the link

I know what you mean regarding places wanting your address and postcode when you are buying something simple.. I get round it by making a postcode and address up. If they do a search and can't find it I just tell them its a new housing development and so their database must be out of date.. at that point they usually leave it..

I was boxed labled and put on a plane to china as a gift Thats as close to being gifted as I got lol.
