Wait another year a good idea??????
V

If you can't get funding you might be eligible for a career development loan. I got one to pay for my tuition fees and some of the accommodation. I could not wait 3 years because I’ve got no idea how I’ll feel by then and a masters is only 1 year long, I wouldn’t want to prolong it to 4!

Application Process for Masters. Elitist intervies??
V

My advisor told me the earliest you apply the better. Your background/accent wouldn't better. It's purely based on proof you can fulfil their requirements, experience, how interested in the subject area you are....like for a first degree.

will minor colour blindness affect phd
V

You shouldn't be held back because of your colour blindness. Surely there can be alterations made to suit you (like using a different dye for an assay or changing the colours in a program). I don't much about protein enginnering but it would unfair if you couldn't do a PhD in it just because you're colour blind. Contact the DSA (which helped me with my dyslexia) to see if they can offer any support such as special equipment.
