Aloha, I'm surprised! Sometimes when I'm working late on my research or doin lesson plans, as a rhyming artist (like you) the inspiration just suddenly comes to me and I have to write it down. In other words, as usual, I'm looking for a distraction and I found the off-topics section of this forum Oh, a wobble cushion? Hmmm, pretty good for one's centre of balance and proprioception. In fact, they have been issued to some old ladies to reduce their falls risk - a major problem in the over 65's (obviously that excludes you, then - see no more insults ). Pretty soon you'll have an athletic poise and the centre of balance of a cat and, instead of rhyming, I'll challenge you to a tight rope walking or free-style running contest. And beat you all over again!

With endnote, it's all (usually) automated. You can automatically import references from the journal website (download citation links, for e.g.). Endnote is the most popular reference management software (I think), and I find it a breeze - though I had to learn how to use it first. Does your uni not offer training sessions in endnote? If not, the University of Michigan has some good training presentations on it for download, or try Googling around.

Endnote is a fairly good solution in my opinion. Could you clarify what you mean by exhaustive? Have you considered Connotea (http://www.connotea.org/)? It's supposed to be free. There's also Reference Manager, too. Sorry I can't be more help.

Or upload it to adobe acrobat online, and you can concert it for free in to .pdf as many times as you want. Alternatively, if you're using Office 2007, you can download a small add-on, free of charge again, from Office Online, that will let you automatically turn any word file into .pdf at the click of a button.

Hello fellow forumites, I'm Sebastian Walmsted. I'm older than 20 but less than 30 and am engaged in something one could broadly describe as (what will hopefully become) a PhD. I live a pretty normal life but I am personally diseased with lunacy owing to the roundabout that is my work; a case of one step forward and three steps back. Generally, I'm studying quality of life using a battery of what I can only describe as pseudoscientific techniques. Although enjoyable work, I'm actually a positivistic scientist icognito, and I was originally going to do a biochemistry PhD involving certain receptors in the liver. What lives we lead!
