I am looking for current or prospective international students wishing to study abroad for an exciting blogging/experience project on the life of international students abroad.

BACKGROUND

It’s tough out there for international students. There are a number of challenges - culture shock/ funding restrictions/ homesickness, just to name a few.

I want to document the international student experience from a variety of multinationals in different countries and institutions while they pursue/attempt to pursue their degrees.

WHY?

There are a number of questions I want to answer:


Is a foreign education worth it?
How much does it really cost?Is there a future internationally beyond your first degree?
Are some countries more receptive to international students than others?
Can international students overcome challenges to reach their true potential overseas?

In addition to answering these questions I also want to:

Create a true picture of what it is like for internationals overseas
Create a support network for international students
Create a website where other prospective students can ask real people experiencing life as an international student any questions they have
Document the differences of the international student experience in different countries.

I AM LOOKING FOR

Young international students who are living abroad/intending to live abroad to pursue A-Levels/College, First degree or Postgraduate studies
International graduates who have finished their degrees abroad and are trying to enter the career ladder in their country of study
All participants must be international - specifically they must not have permanent leave to remain in their country of study and they should preferably be from a developing country (e.g. Caribbean, India etc.)
All participants must be talented in a field applicable to their degree study (e.g. academically, musically etc). This means that in the participants home country they should be in the top tier of their field (top of the class/team etc).
I am looking for those studying a variety of disciplines in a variety of countries so please get in contact!

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

Blogging of experiences - Each participant will be in charge of blogging his/her own experiences. This can be as anonymous as they like - you can use your real name or a code name, add pictures, blog strictly about studies or put in a bit of your social life!
Tweeting - Each participant will also be in charge of a twitter account to update followers in real time
Interacting with readers - answering questions about blogs/living abroadVolunteering - This is all unpaid/volunteer experience as the blog will be a free site for users. Blogs/twitter can be updated whenever you want - you are in charge of your account.
