I am currently a fourth year photography student in Cape Town, I have been doing research on Masters scholarships for international students in the US and UK, I was wondering if anyone knew of any information that could help.
I would like to do my Masters in either Documentary Photography, Photojournalism or Journalism.
Are there any schools that you might know of that offers full or half scholarships without discrimination of age or ethnicity. The U.S, Canada, Ireland any predominantly English speaking country.
Thank you:-)
I am currently a photography student in Cape Town, writing my thesis on Documentary photography in Botswana and how images aid in educating international communities about the country.
In order for me to do this I need to find out:
1) What people think of Botswana, what do they know about the country and its people?
2)Where was this information attained?
3) When a country is mentioned on television shows such as Grey's Anatomy, how serious do you personally take that information?
4) If you were to mention Botswana to your parents or friends what would be the response?
I have gotten interesting and candid responses from other sites I just need more information, to balance the scales so to speak.
5) To what extent could photography be used as an educational tool about a people, the country and culture?
6) Is it essential to know about other people?
7) Would an exhibition solely about documentary photography of a nation be of interest to a mass audience?
The most important information I need is really about what people from around the world think about Botswana????
Thank you for your time and thoughts...
:-)
