Hi all!
I would like to receive some tips and advices/valuations about my profile as I am planning to apply for a PhD:
AGE: 22
EDUCATION:
LSE - MSc in Financial Mathematics - High Merit (more or less 67%, with all distinctions in math finance classes and "grey" performances in one finance class (50%) and in one statistic class (51%))
University of Siena (ITA) - BSc in Financial Markets - Summa cum Laude (110/110) and GPA 30.316/30 (100%)
ESB Reutlingen (GERMANY) - Visiting Student - (1.0/1.0 in all the three core modules, 2.2/1.0 in the elective)
High School (Liceo Scientifico) - 100/100
I would like to apply for a PhD , Sep 2015. I want to do something related to algo trading, computational finance and asset pricing/modelling. I want to avoid pure math applied to finance, as I am not coming from a pure math background.
According to you, What are my chances to get accepted in the following classes;
Favorite 1: UToronto, Math Finance phd, dept. statistics
Favorite 2: Swiss Finance Institute
Nice Unis: MCGill, British Columbia, HEC Montreal, Melbourne, ETH, UPFL Lausanne, Sorbonne.
Classic Big Names: Mit, Chicago, UCLA, Princeton, Columbia.
UK Bigs: Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL
Many thanks for your help
