I’ve designed and patented a treatment for Type 1 diabetes, which would dispense with the need for daily insulin injections.I have discussed this with Professor Joan Taylor of De Montfort University and Professor John Pickup (now retired), both of whom encouraged me to take the idea further.
I wondered, therefore, if this might be a subject for a PhD student, who could consider the idea in more detail and perhaps construct an vitro prototype. I am happy to proviode copies of the UK and US patent certificates, together with the full specifications and drawings. In the meantime the patent numbers are GB2446247 and US 8,066, 694 B2.
