Hi,
I've been accepted onto the neuroscience masters program at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. The program is a one year course but only carries 60ECTS credits. Having done my BSc in Neuroscience and then taught Science & Maths for the past 4 years I'm looking to get back into science. I'd really like to do a phd as I'm interested in science writing as well as lab work.
I'm trying to decide whether Spain really is the place to study at the moment (thanks to the crisis) and also whether this course will really help me get back into neuroscience in Europe or whether i might be better off to apply for a 2 year masters in another country.
Does anyone have any experience of Spanish masters degrees and their value!!??
Thanks
Abi
Hi,
I completed my degree in Neuroscience in 2006 and got a 2:1, since then I've done a PGCE in Science, but I am currently working as a Math teacher in Barcelona. I'd like to get back into science and eventually do a PhD. What's the best way of getting back into the science world!? I think applying for a PhD directly would be a bit over optimistic so what should I do?? Do I apply for a masters course, contact some local labs to try to get experience.... what?
Any suggestions gratefully received!
:-)
Abi
