Hi to all,
The is a recurring topic, but I guess it requires to reemerge each time with new situation. I had an on-campus PostDoc interview, the all-day kind in the US, at the beginning of September. I gave a presentation, had talks one-on-one with the members of the group, which all went fine. I was told that within a week I should get noticed on the decision. After a week, I sent a thank-you note to the group leader but no reply. Now it's been 3.5 weeks and not a single message came.
I was in contact with one of PostDocs who asked me some questions about previous work of our group, and had contacted with secretary on few occasions, but informally. What should I do at this point?
Should I ask about when might I expect a decision (anything would be okay as long as I get some reply), or should I wait patiently?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I am fairly sure that there were not other candidates for the position, as I applied by sending a CV and got invited over for an interview.
