Hello,
I will be getting a graduation in Industrial Engineering (similar to mechanical engineering) in March 2014.
After that I'm moving to the UK. I would like to find a master which allows me to become a quality inspector (in the mechanical field).
I would love to work in quality control, instrumentation and measurements.
I looked at many jobs and I think to know what I need to learn*.
I've spent lots of days surfing the web, but I still don't know what to do.
Could you suggest a good Master (MSc) for me in the United Kingdom?
Which are the steps to follow to reach my target? Do I need to do something else apart from the master?
Do you have any tips for me?
* These are some things I should learn:
- knowledge of quality systems
- know Metric ad Imperial measurement and tolerances
- understand complex technical drawings
- ability to use measurement tools (digital microscopes, verniers, shadow graphs, electronic comparators)
- working with quality standars such as: BS EN ISO 6001, ISO 2768, ISO 9001, ISO 2000, AS9100
- have knowledge of quality managment systems
- have knowledge of policies and procedures
- planning and estimating CNC (computer numerical control) machined items
- be able to use CMM (coordinate-measuring machine)
- knowledge within FAIRS (First Article Inspection)
- knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
Thank you very much in advance.
