Hey all,
Can anyone tell me what a 3.5/4 GPA in the American system is equivalent to in the British system? I am about to apply to a few universities in the UK and I need to know where I stand with such a GPA.

3.5 GPA is approximately 2:1 but entry requirements will depend on the course you apply for and where you previously studied.

3.7 or above is considered First Class Honours.
Anything from 3.2 up to 3.7 is considered Upper Second Class Honours (depending on your choice of university). Most of the good uni's ask for 3.5.

Thank you very much for the replies. Oh, another question, do I stand a chance at getting some sort of funding for a Msc in environmental Sciences with such a GPA? I think me being an international student is not in my favor.
