Personally I think that's a good thing. You can edit your post, if you really want to remove what you said. But it stops people deleting willy-nilly, and leading to incomplete/confusing threads as a result.

I have PM'd Wally regarding the matter, but yes, if you read the sticky thread Sascha wrote about this matter, you will understand a little more.
We appreciate sometimes people want to retract statements, but this is an anonymous forum, and you choose what information you share with other users. To selectively delete once people have began a discussion would make a totally uninformative thread and therefore useless one.
Please try to refrain from deleting anything you write as this is what builds the Forum content and makes it useful for others.
