I'm presently a doctoral candidate in the field of ecology  and am looking for guidance on how to successfully manage my teaching and research obligations. I'm in my second year of the programme, and although I'm very enthusiastic about what I'm doing, I've lately taken on more onerous teaching assistant responsibilities.

My research takes a lot of time and concentration because it involves a lot of fieldwork and data analysis. I oversee lab sessions, grade assignments, and help undergraduates in addition to my other responsibilities. Even though I like every element of my academic career, I struggle to effectively manage my time and strike an equilibrium between work and life.

I have the following specific queries:

Time management advice: How can you set priorities for your work and make sure you fulfil deadlines without sacrificing the calibre of your output or your health?

Managing Commitments: How do you manage your research and teaching obligations, particularly during busy times like exam or fieldwork seasons?
