So, i have been doing some research work. i was assigned a senior staff as a senior supervisor and a more junior member of the staff as a junior supervisor.
the initial idea was mine, i collected all the data, done all the work. and the junior supervisor just revised my work to make sure i was on track.
the whole time we had a good relationship and no personal nor work problems.
then publishing time came, its a small research but an opportunity came up that it can be represented as a poster in a very esteemed congress in our field. the senior supervisor is the one who provided that opportunity in the first place.
i took permission from all included colleagues and proceeded to apply. i even said that the junior supervisor can present it and i can just tag along , she refused because she had some personal problems that will prevent her from traveling.
i wrote my self as first author, she,s a coauthor and the senior staff our supervisor
now the abstract has been accepted as a poster, and she sent me the most degrading message via mobile, saying that she can make better proposals and doesn't need me or my paper, then blocked me !!
i tried calling she didn't answer, i sent her an email saying that i am sorry if i offended her in any way and reminded her that she was the one who said she couldn't travel to present the paper
is that normal? i keep having this guilty feeling but i am sure i haven't wronged her in any way. it was my paper , my data and my work....and i even wrote her as a coauthor
