Hi, Could someone please tell me if my information is correct:
So when assessing if a particular study is high in validity, the following things need to be considered:
Controls, researcher bias, confounding variables, demand characteristics
whereas when assessing if a study is high in reliability, the following need to be considered:
methodology (i.e., was there a standardized procedure for each participant?) and results (i.e., if the study is to be conducted in a different place, at a different time, on different people, will it bear the same results?)
Thanks so much, I've always found validity and reliability the toughest thing about research.
:)
