Ok, Im about to start my PhD at Newcastle University in September and as yet I am funding it myself.

My PhD is in Management (full time), and i know the ERSC offer funding help but the amount of different types of funding on there has confused me

Anyone out there who can give me any help on what type I should apply for, or if you have been in a similar position what have you done?

I cant believe how hard it is to get government help though! But anyway, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Speak to Newcastle University, and particularly, whoever deals with PhDs administration in your department.

If you are starting in Sept, I would think getting funding at this point is unlikely, as least for your first year.
