Article submission - revisions needed - hopeful

T

Hi all experienced authors (well, those with more experience than me)
I've had my first paper back from the editor with 3 lots of comments and suggestions for changes, which are all do-able within a relatively short timeframe (if I dedicate a few weeks to it). They've said that they feel the paper can make a valuable contribution.
Does this mean that if I address all their points thoroughly, it'll be accepted for publication?!
Cheers

T

It's not gauranteed, but it's pretty much accepted! Well done!

T

Yes! Thank you! Sounds positive enough!

H

Only three suggestions? I'd say that's a definite yes! Many congratulations. especially for your 1st paper. I think my 1st paper had about 30 corrections, and it still got accepted in the end. Well done!

T

Oh no, that was slightly ambiguous... three sets of comments from three separate reviewers. Probably 20 or more in total! But there is still hope? Phew!

D

Yes - typically if you address all the reviewers' comments, your paper will be accepted. There are always exceptions, though.

T

Thanks Drkl! Fingers crossed!
