Hi everyone
I am seeking some information, i am seeking admission in Ph.D in Germany. As Germany has no tuition fee. I wanted to ask is there any legal necessity to submit bank statement still for visa process?
I am living in Pakistan and a citizen of here. I would be greatly thankful for kind help.
I would expect there is. You will need to contact the embassy: http://www.pakistan.diplo.de/Vertretung/pakistan/en/06Legal/__Visa_2C_20Passport_2C_20Legal.html
hi awaisagha,
Well done thats really a great score for your mphil!
if you are offered a stipend from DAAD, let's say they gave you a scholarship, I don't think you will need a bank statement because your scholarship should cover your living expenses. I know a few friends who did not use their bank statements to apply for visas because they had a financial letter from the sponsor to show. Don't worry about it. Get the scholarship/stipend/sponsorship first :-)

Thanks a lot satchi for your kind help.
I was certainly worried for this part of the whole process that it might hinder the process and i will have to do something about it. Meanwhile i had the thoughts that the whole main point is the ability for holding up the expanses in Germany. Either you are doing it yourself or if you stand eligible for DAAD, then the financial process is taken care of, then one shouldn't need the bank statement part.
I really appreciate your help and efforts. Thanks a lot.
